Tools For Kids was created in 2001 by Donna Matheson in St. Albert, Alberta. She started the company which she affectionately called her “baby” and grew it for 10 years! In June 2011 we purchased the business from her and Tools For Kids became incorporated and expanded into on-line ordering as well as continuing with e-mail and phone orders.
“We” are Rachel Devereux and Scott Burdick, Occupational Therapists who graduated from the University of Alberta in 1994 and the owners of Mindful Movement Inc. in Edmonton, Alberta. MMI provides pediatric Occupational Therapy services in schools, homes, parks and other agencies.
After working in the United States for many years we returned home, created Mindful Movement Inc. and searched for a convenient way to order our O.T. “tools” locally and then we found Donna! For nine years we picked up orders from her doorstep and loved the convenience and friendliness of her business.
Tools For Kids Inc. is such a natural transition for us as it supplies the tools we already use and recommend for the children we work with.
